We run classes all year ‘round. We offer day and evening sessions. Sessions vary depending upon the location and
run for a total of 130 hours. Courses

The objective of the Nurse
Assistant training course is to provide students with the basic fundamentals
for safe and knowledgeable caregiving as a nurse assistant in the long-term
healthcare setting. The course includes both lecture and laboratory work (91
hours) and clinical experience (46 hours).
Approximately 40 (hands-on)
nurse assistant procedures will be taught in the classroom lab sessions. During
the last week, students will apply their classroom learning in a clinical
setting.

Nurse Assistant Review Course - (currently not offered)
This class will identify and review the essential information and skills that a
Nurse Assistant is required to have in order to care for residents in a nursing
home.

• Have taken and failed the competency evaluation exam one or more times; or
• Completed a Nurse Assistant Training course within the last 6 months, and did
not take the competency evaluation exam
