One of the wonderful services your American Red Cross Hawaii provides to its community is manning first aid stations at community events. American Red Cross First Aid Station (FAS) Team stations are staffed with competent volunteers who have been trained to respond. The FAS Team is designed to provide competent, immediate, and temporary care for injuries and sudden illnesses before the arrival of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel, if needed. Event organizers should be aware that the Red Cross will not provide advanced health care services. If needed, our FAST volunteers will contact EMS to the scene. This service is free, but we accept contributions to the American Red Cross FAS team to support training, supply and recognition expenses of our volunteers.
To request a F.A.S. Team, please complete the request form (link below) and submit it within 30 days prior to your event. Based on the time and size of your event, we will coordinate and confirm our involvement. Save the form, complete and email it to: [email protected] or fax the form to (808) 735-8626, Attention: Red Cross FAS Team Coordinator.
To become a FAS Team Volunteer, download the volunteer application form below and email or fax it to the contact numbers provided above. MAHALO!
