Laura and Jeff Winston (U.S. Army) with their family of five present Coralie Matayoshi (Hawaii Red Cross CEO) with a check for Haiti relief efforts. Their 11 year old daughter, Paige, organized a car wash and bake sale to raise funds for Haiti victims. The Haiti quake happened on Paiges birthday, and it really touched her heart. She made several plans for raising money and helped to bake for eight hours the night before her big event. Unfortunately, on the day of the fundraiser (February 27), there was another earthquake in Chile(!) which caused a Tsunami warning here in Hawaii and every function that she was counting on (basketball games, track meet, etc) was canceled. They had to eliminate the car wash part of the fundraiser due to the water ban here on Oahu, but continued with the bake sale portion. This was a VERY determined young lady who was able to raise over $500! WOW!
