As part of our mission of saving lives, the American Red Cross started a FREE Annual Summer Swim Program at Ala Moana Beach Park over 45 years ago. Each summer, volunteer certified water safety instructors and youth teach hundreds of adults and keiki how to swim. Many of these participants would not otherwise be able to afford swimming lessons.

The Summer Swim program consists of two separate sessions: Saturday mornings for keiki ages 3 to 13 years, and our evening program three times a week for adults. The program runs for two sessions of four weeks each. This swim program introduces first-time swimmers with skills that can keep them safe in and around the water while providing learn to swim better instruction for more experienced and advanced students. Registration is required and limited.
