Requirements: Teens (13-17 years old)-exceptions made on a case-by-case basis. You should be able to swim 25 yards using various strokes. The registration fee of $30 includes Adult CPR/First Aid course, T-shirt and instructional materials. Registration opens online April 15th.
Babysitting
Designed to teach youth age 11 and older about the responsibilities of a babysitter. Students learn accident prevention, diapering, feeding, and emergency first aid as well as how to choose age appropriate games and toys, and how to prepare for a job as a babysitter
Course Length: 7 hours
Basic Aid Training (BAT)
Program is designed for youth, grades 4-6. Participants will learn rescue breathing, chest compressions, (Heimlich maneuver), water safety and how to cope with many emergency situations. This training meets the requirements for several scouting badges.

Water Safety Programs
Infant and Preschool Aquatic Program
Splash around with kids ages 6 months to 5 years. Learn the essential pre-swimming skills such as bubble blowing or the proper use of a life jacket.
Community Water Safety
Help individuals at any age learn general water safety practices for more than a dozen aquatic environments and rescue environments.
Learn-To-Swim
The program emphasizes the best methods to teach swimming lessons to people of all ages and abilities. Learn how to teach seven different skills levels that cover everything from water exploration to advanced skills.
How do you become a water safety instructor?
� You must be 17 years of age by the end of the training.
� You must take the American Red Cross Fundamentals Instructor Training (FIT) Course or currently be a Red Cross Instructor
� You must pass a pre-course evaluation:
o Water Safety Skills and Knowledge - equal to the content of the 4-hour American Red Cross Community Water Safety Course
o Ability to demonstrate the front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke and sidestroke.
o Ability to retrieve an object from 6-9 feet of water.
